Emley welcome NCEL Premier Division leaders North Ferriby to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on Saturday for a huge clash as the teams battle for the top spot (3pm).

In what will only be the third competitive meeting between the sides, a big crowd is expected to watch the top of the table clash, with all professional football suspended due to the World Cup in Qatar, Emley are encouraging Huddersfield Town supporters to come along for free with a fantastic free ticket and travel offer

Second place Emley are currently on a fantastic run of form, currently unbeaten in 15 league games, the only defeat coming at North Ferriby on the opening day of the season in July, so added incentive for the Pewits to gain revenge, as well as closing the gap to 5 points with 2 games in hand on Ferriby.

The villagers won’t be so keen to drop points though, their stoppage time win over Emley’s Huddersfield rivals Golcar last week made it 4 wins on the bounce and they’ll be keen to extend their lead over Richard Tracey’s Pewits.

Apart from the game in East Yorkshire in July, the only other meeting was a NCEL D1 tie in September 2020 in which Emley won courtesy of a last-minute Adam Haw goal, a repeat of that would go down well the Emley supporters on Saturday.

So, it's 1-1 in terms of wins and both sides will be desperate for that second win to keep up their hopes of challenging for the title.

Emley will be keen to get their campaign going again after the last 2 games, at home to Knaresborough and away at Barton Town both fell victim to the weather, the last league game for Emley was a 3-1 win at Frickley on the 8th of November.
