Michael Duff Leads Terriers in First Match Against Emley AFC
The Pewits will face Huddersfield Town in June in a pre-season friendly at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground.
Despite Emley AFC's 2023/24 campaign ending only a matter of weeks ago. The planning for the 2024/25 season has already begun and that includes pre-season friendlies.
The club is delighted to announce that we will be hosting Huddersfield Town First Team in a pre-season fixture on Saturday June 29th at the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground 3pm kick off.
It's an exciting season for the Pewits after gaining promotion to the Northern Premier League, Division One East as Richard Tracey's men will look to test themselves at a higher level.
The friendly against the Terriers is the perfect start to preparations. Town come to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground on the back of relegation to Sky Bet League One. Having recently named a new manager in Michael Duff, the former Cheltenham, Barnsley and Swansea boss will be wanting to see how his new team is shaping up in the start to their pre-season campaign.
On match-day, gates will open at 1pm and we encourage fans to arrive early and take advantage of the bars within the stadium.
This is an all ticket match, tickets will only available from the Emley AFC online club shop.
Emley AFC Season Ticket / Members will be invited to purchase tickets on Saturday 25th May by email. The tickets will then go on general sale on Saturday 1st June at 9am on the Emley AFC Club Shop.
The stadium is limited to 2,000 people and we are expecting a larger than normal crowd for this game. We encourage supporters to buy their tickets as soon as possible to secure their attendance.

There will also be a souvenir programme available to pre-order when purchasing tickets to guarantee your copy. Only a small number of additional copies will be available on the day.
There are no bookable seats in the main stand. These are available on a first come, first served basis.
After purchase, you will be emailed your e-ticket barcode(s), please present at the gate for scanning. You do not need to print the email/barcode, it will be scanned from your smartphone.
The concession rate is available to those in receipt of state pension, U16s, anyone in full-time education and registered disabled.

We aim to become Town fans' second-choice team when the Terriers play away next season. This fixture gives Town fans the chance to experience the fantastic atmosphere at our Welfare Ground and to get a look at our team ahead of our NPL return.
