Emley AFC have been drawn at home to either Heaton Stannington or Darwen in the FA Vase 2nd Round.

The two clubs 1st round tie was beaten by the weather but will be completed on Tuesday 24th October.

Heaton Stannington currently sit in 5th place of the Step 5 Northern League Division 1.

Darwen FC are 12th in the North West Counties Division 1 North.

Neither club have previously faced Emley in the FA competitions but we did achieve a league double over Darwen in our single season on ‘the wrong side’ of the Pennines in 2019-20.

The Pewits came from behind against Guisborough Town to equal last season’s Vase performance. That followed more straightforward wins over Sandbach United and Brigg Town in the qualifying rounds.

Emley’s 1988 Vase final appearance remains the club’s high-water mark with a 4th Round appearance in 2012-13 the most recent notable performance.
