The tie pits current league leaders together, Emley currently on top of the NPL Division1 East and Dinnington are riding high in the Central Midlands Alliance Premier Division North, 2 levels below Emley, with 10 straight wins.

This will be the first meeting in 10 years, the sides met 10 times in the NCEL between 2006-2014.

Dinnington Town were formed in 2000 and joined the CML Premier Division, earning promotion in their second season to the Supreme division, , they then joined the NCEL D1 in 2006-07 and were promoted as champions to the Premier Division just 2 seasons later before relegation back to D1 after finishing bottom 2 seasons later.

They were subsequently relegated back to the CML in 2014 where they have remained since, in 2007-08, 'Dinno' made it to the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup where they were soundly beaten by Bradford PA.

Despite remaining unbeaten in the league, Emley are now out of both the FA Cup and FA Trophy but won't be taking their opponents lightly, the winners will face either Wombwell Main or Dodworth MW in the second round.
